Q: What is a reasonable price to sale my Ford SVT Cobra Mustang?
2001 black, convertible, excellent condition except a few small chips on the hood from the previous owner, cold air intake from K and N. Ford MACH 5 sound system. Everthing else is all stock. 73K miles.
I went throught the whole car and change out all of the fluids because they seemed to be a little old. I went and did the full tune up, change all the filters through out. I intended on keeping this car but now we have a baby on the way and is now pointless for my wife to even try to get in it.
Long story short, I bought it from a dealership, paid too much, tried to treat it like a baby and now it’s time to sale. Help me find a price to sale in Southern California.

A: First question, do you owe on it? If so, than that is your bottom selling point (unless your upside down). I know its going to seem dissapointing, but KBB says its worth about 14,800. I used the good price because I’ve yet to see a car with 73k that in my eyes was excellent. I baby my cars too, but 73k of driving will put some wear on the exterior of any well maintained vehicle especially a vert. I used San Diego as the city, so who knows. The problem with your car (not that its really a problem) is that it looks like a “Terminator” but isn’t supercharged. I’d put it at 17 and see if you get any bites. The 03-04’s are fetching 25k so maybe you’ll find someone who wants the look but not the extra sticker price.

A: I have seen one at a Ford Dealership go for 65,000 because they are not making very many but its somewhere in that range..

Q: Used Ford Mustang GT500 Cobra 2007, Thinking of buying, what should the Price be?
I tried to use Blue book and it said they could not get a price on one of them. Ford dealer wants $40,299. That still very close to the price for a new one is. It was like new really,but its way over price me and my dad and even the sales thought. What do you think the price should be?

A: I would deffinately not pay more then $36,000. I can find a bunch from private sellers that have half the milage and they are asking between $35,000 and $38,000. If I were you, I would take a look at private sellers. Since you will be buying a car that has so few miles on it and you buy from an adult you know the car wont be abused and the factory warranty will still be present. Not only will you find a car for a lot less but on top of that you will save thousands because you wont have to pay sales tax. You are probally looking at saving at least $5,000 by going with a private seller.

Q: Is there such thing as a 1965 Mustang Cobra?
I found a real nice mustang for sale and im not sure if this is a original grill and parts. It says it is a 1965 Ford Mustang Cobra. But me and others aren’t sure if they were made.

Originally it had a 4 speed transmision but the owner took it out and had a 5 speed put in.

Q: What modifications do you need to make to a ford 4×4 aod transmission to fit a fox mustang?
There seem to be lots of 4×4 aod trannys coming up for sale in my area. I’ve also read that they were the strongest from the factory. I’m looking to put one in a 80 cobra that has a carb’d roller cam motor. (anyone need a 255?) Do you just need to swap out the tail shaft adapter? I know i need a tv cable and brackets. The C4 in the mustang works fine, just looking for better gas mileage.

A: it’s next to impossible. the physical casing will not allow you to simply swap out the tailshaft for a 2WD as the casings are 1 piece, you COULD remove the guts change the ouput shafts and put them into a 2WD AOD housing. 4X4 AOD’s will always need a transfercase of some sorts bolted to them. Besides as a 4X4 guy myself AOD’s are the biggest POS tranny built (there’s a reason you see LOTS of AOD 4X4 trannies for Sale. Its because everyone is either upgrading to the much MUCH stronger C6 or E4OD as they are tired of the POS AOD failing them constantly. You would be better off swapping in a 5-speed manual.

It’s a complex issue and goes back through SEVERAL presidents and several Senates and Congresses. You can see ripples coming through from Reagan, Daddy Bush, Clinton, and Baby Bush. There was too much greed in the housing and stock markets. There was no oversight and people who received loans on their houses in the last 4 years should have been counseled and WARNED NOT to get a variable rate loan but the banks were under pressure from Wall Street to WRITE WRITE WRITE more loans and give Wall Street a much desired commodity on which they could make their commission portfolios rise.

Don’t forget about BEHIND the scenes as well. The CFR, the Fed, our leading economists, the “London Loophole”, the Ruling Families, Bernanke, Paulson, and President Bush. EVERYONE had a part in this. On September 24, Bernanke started pulling OUT $225 billion dollars from the banking market, in a direct effort to cause a tightening of funds and create a panic that would FORCE Congress to pass the bail out plan and respond to President Bush’s demands that Congress be forced to their knees if necessary to get this bailout passed.

I realize the bail out is important and that it will cause a strangling effect on credit cards, home loans, and the economy if it is NOT passed but perhaps it’s better to take our lumps NOW and get this Depression OVER as quickly as possible. Even CHINA is pushing to get this bailout passed but it is to preserve THEIR investment more than it is a fear for our economy.

What we need to do is tighten our belts. The war must be stopped NOW and efforts must be made on the part of the govt to curtail ALL spending until they can balance the budget for this year. THAT will be a START! NO MORE MONEY for foreign countries … no more money to Georgia … no more money for ANYTHING!

Bush saw the writing on the wall when everyone was SCREAMING to lower the gas prices. Had the govt made efforts to AT LEAST do THAT then the economy would have improved, the market would hold steady, food prices would have stayed firm, inflation would have been brought into check, and things would have still been tight but it would have been manageable. Bush has relied on his bullying tactics for too long. IT’S OVER MR. BUSH! You have broken the treasury. There is NO MORE MONEY FOR YOU TO STEAL! The cash cow has been drained. The Fed needs to restrict the banks. And SOMEONE needs to speak with the Rothschild family in London and get them to EASE OFF!

This CRISIS, as they call it, is being MANIPULATED by the Rothschild Family just as they manipulated France during the French Revolution. Once the PEOPLE recognize that and focus on letting the MANIPULATORS know that there is NOTHING left to manipulate perhaps we can begin to work on this problem.

THE USA needs to have a SUPER CLEARANCE SALE! JET AIRCRAFT …HALF PRICE! We need to show the world that we CAN produce goods at really GOOD prices! We need to start drilling out OWN oil fields and supply the market at prices HALF of what the World market is right now. Our auto companies need to SCRAP the gas guzzlers and IMMEDIATELY start making the ELECTRIC cars and hybrids. How is it that APTERA, a SMALL auto company in Carlsbad, CA can make a car that gets 300 MPG and costs under $30,000 and yet Ford, Chrysler, and GM cannot!
That is ABSURD!
The Tata from India gets 50 + mpg and costs $2,500. Bush wants to waste the environment and scrub all the health laws that have taken 50 years to get into place … why not allow the Tata to be imported to the USA and sold for under $5,000 with SOME of the Federal Safety Standards but NOT all! Remember when it used to cost $2,700 to buy a new Mustang? Remember when a Corvette was $3,500? Remember when an AC Bristol Cobra with 425 horses that got 8 mpg cost $4,000 but gas was 25c/gallon? Those days are NOT gone … they have just been shelved.

WE CAN GO BACK TO THAT ! WE have the resources … we have the factories … we have the skills … but we ALL need to work together.

Don’t buy gas unless you NEED to and then only buy enough to last for a few days. If we STOP buying fuel the prices will come down. Start buying your food at the 99c store and Food 4 Less and Save-a-lot, and Smart & Final and buy the necessities, canned food, stuff that will LAST for a YEAR OR TWO. START TO HOARD FOOD NOW! If you have any relatives who went thru the depression ask THEM what to do! THEY KNOW … they’ve been through it! Instead of buying bottled water for 99c/gallon go to the Geyser Water Machines and buy it for 20c/gallon. When you drive your car use it ONCE a week and do ALL your errands on the same day and PLAN your route on Google so that you can make it as efficient as possible.
Conserve, conserve, conserve.

My question here is: Do you people agree with me or am I just going rapidly insane here? Does anyone else see what is going on with our govt and the ruling elite and the foreign families such as the Rothschild Family, or am I being sucked in by the conspirationalists? Sorry for dumping this in the Philosophy dept but a friend suggested it and said that you guys have the finest minds on stuff like this. I was tempted to dump it in the Religion dept since I like their minds too but I have never heard from YOU guys yet and I’m curious. I know this is REALLY long but I didn’t know how else to word it briefly without loosing the impetus.
