Q: How to get a ford shelby cobra concept in street racing on myspace?
I play that street racing crap on myspace and i was wondering how everyone is getting the ford shelby cobra concept because i cant find it?

A: The hood has to 2 scoops that make it resemble a cobra head, if it has stock rims those are different too. Most have SVT badging and the rear bumper says Cobra. Some have little cobra decals on the front fenders.

Q: What is a Ford Mustang Cobra Shinoda?
We are trying to find a value for a 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra Shinoda. It has 5,600 original miles and has been garaged it’s entire life (never seen rain or snow!). It is a beautiful red.
The word “Shinoda” is attached to the Cobra emblams on the car.

A: The “Boss Shinoda” package was a graphics and body kit available for the Mustang in the mid 90’s. Mechanically it was bone stock, so if it was a GT it had the 5.0L V8 rated at 215 hp, the Cobra had the 5.0L V8 rated at 240hp (Due to SVT GT40 heads and intake) However, I don’t think the Shinoda pacakge was ever placed on a Cobra so I would make sure it was a real Cobra and not just a rebaged Mustang GT. Basically, its a better looking, but not higher performing, Mustang GT.

Q: What will cause the battery light to come on in a 1996 Ford Cobra?
The battery light will occasionally flicker on and off, and sometimes will just stay on. The voltage gauge doesn’t move at all, however, revving up to about 3k RPMs will sometimes resolve the problem, if only temporarily. And because we cannot find the book, and are lazy, I have decided to ask you!
Will it begin with troubles starting the car? I’ve already had that once or twice, causing it to take a moment longer than usual.

A: The 5litre HO motor has 19lb/hr injectors. They’re good for up to about 375hp. Your heads are your weak link to get you there.

Q: how much hp can you get by boring or porting out the stock supercharger on a 2003 ford mustang cobra?
if you have a 2003 ford mustang cobra with over 500hp can you tell me whats on it “meaning modications” so i can figure out a combo for mine. THANKS

A: I have a 2004 mustang cobra and am making 535rwhp and have run as fast as 10.898 in the 1/4 (on nitto 315/35 R17 drag radials). I have cold air intake, magnaflow catback exhaust, smaller pulleys (im sorry, i dont remember what sizes I went with but I could find out if you really want to know), upgraded fuel injectors, SCT tuner (the one that has 7 different places to turn the dial for 7 different tunes but one space is a kill switch), short throw shifter, and a stage IV port by stiegmyer (which includes upgraded throttle body). I have 2 pre set tunes, one for 91 octane pump gas which gives me around 505 rwhp and the other tune is for when I add a can of Torco which gives me around 99 octane and 535rwhp. The stage IV port from stiegmyer with the throttle body added about 55rwhp. i definately reccomend doing it. I am running 15lbs of boost with my 99 octane tune. What it came down to for me was that I wanted to run in the 10’s and make sure I could beat any stock car on the street. My options were either a kenne bell or whipple or port my blower. Kenne bell or whipple would run me around $5000-$5500 installed where the port ran me $1500 installed. I blow away new z06 vettes, zr1 corvettes, vipers, bmw m3 or m5, mercedes amg65 and 55, you name it. Its a great feeling to blow a $100,000 to $200,000 car out of the water with a $30,000 car.

Q: Will an exhaust manifold for a ford 428 super cobra jet engine work on a 460 super cobra jet engine?
I cant find an exhaust manifold for a Ford 460 Super cobra jet engine.

A: I don’t know if any 460 scj, but you can sell the 428 scj headers for lots of money and buy what ever you want…you might try looking for 429 Cobra Jet headers…

Q: What is the difference between a Ford Mustang GT and a Ford Mustang Cobra?
I think the cobra is completely different from the mustang, but my son thinks the cobra is a type of mustang. Please discuss. Since the mustang is over 40 years old, this could be quite a discussion. Any car experts out there?

A: Cobras are high performance GT’s which are mass produced by both Ford and Shelby American Inc. Cobras are supercharged, have different decals, paint jobs, exhaust systems, and performance parts.

Q: Where do I find the dashboard fuse on a Ford Cobra 2004?

Sorry, forgot to add that we’ve lost the owner’s manual and the stores are all closed…

A: Which Fuse? Check your owners manual and invest in a test light, 5-10 $ at your local parts store. Using the test light check both sides of each fuse with the ignition on and the headlights on, the fuse which only lights the test light on one side is the bad one. I do not recommend the “pull and peer” method because I have encountered fuses which were physically broken but not visibly blown.

Q: What is a reasonable price to sale my Ford SVT Cobra Mustang?
2001 black, convertible, excellent condition except a few small chips on the hood from the previous owner, cold air intake from K and N. Ford MACH 5 sound system. Everthing else is all stock. 73K miles.
I went throught the whole car and change out all of the fluids because they seemed to be a little old. I went and did the full tune up, change all the filters through out. I intended on keeping this car but now we have a baby on the way and is now pointless for my wife to even try to get in it.
Long story short, I bought it from a dealership, paid too much, tried to treat it like a baby and now it’s time to sale. Help me find a price to sale in Southern California.

A: First question, do you owe on it? If so, than that is your bottom selling point (unless your upside down). I know its going to seem dissapointing, but KBB says its worth about 14,800. I used the good price because I’ve yet to see a car with 73k that in my eyes was excellent. I baby my cars too, but 73k of driving will put some wear on the exterior of any well maintained vehicle especially a vert. I used San Diego as the city, so who knows. The problem with your car (not that its really a problem) is that it looks like a “Terminator” but isn’t supercharged. I’d put it at 17 and see if you get any bites. The 03-04’s are fetching 25k so maybe you’ll find someone who wants the look but not the extra sticker price.

Q: How much would it cost to get a 2001 ford mustang cobra engine rebuilt?
I am thinking of buying a 99-01 cobra and ive found some but they have over 120,000 miles but are only $8,000 and wondered if it would be under 6-7Gs to get the engine rebuilt after another 10k milles

A: You could do it yourself for 2K or so, or have a shop do it for under 5K. If you are going to do have it rebuilt, you might as well go 5.1L stroker. It will cost a little bit more, but the performance gains will be great. A 5.1L stroker will probably give you a solid 50hp boost.

A: Your gonna have to have “Stand alone Fuel Management” plus an after market CPU to control the fuel delivery system. A 6-71 Blower may help a bunch. Be prepaired to buy new heads , or atleast head gaskets everytime you put your foot on the pedal for over 18 seconds.
You can get the power but you have to pay the piper too! Leave it like it is or buy a super car if that’s what you want.

I would say: For around $10,000.00 you can trash yer motor.

A: NO

Q: will the 2003 ford mustang cobra super charger fit a 1996 ford mustang cobra?
i have a 1996 ford mustang cobra and i want to put on a 2003 ford cobra super charger on but the 1996 cobra has a different intake and it has a computer that opens and closes butterfly’s between the intake and heads i need to know will it fit if so what do i need to do to make it work?

A: You can buy superchargers for that year like through paxton, saleen even Ford Motorsports are offering S/C. There is a lot of companies who make them so shop around. I had a 97 Cobra and if you get a S/C it will not put out much boost as you are close to 11 to 1 compression. I never put a S/C on mine as after about 20k they would blow up the bottom end because it was never designed for that type of stress. See if you can get a used 03 or 04 long block S/C that would be the way to go.

Q: What are the features of a 2000 ford mustang cobra and is it a good choice for a car and why?
I really like the way it looks. is it as good as it is from the outside?

A: the only cobra that was produced in 2000 was the limited production cobra r which featured a 5.4 liter v8 and was rated at 385 horsepower…only came in red…ford cancelled the production of the cobra in 2000 because the 1999 models did not produce the horsepower that ford claimed…the cobra returned in 2001 with all 320 horses under the hood (1999) models fell quite short of that figure…again the cobra disappeared in 2002 and returned in 2003 with a supercharged version of the 4.6 liter engine…

i have driven several cobra models of that particular body style (except the 2003) and they are an excellent choice…they feature independent rear suspension instead of the solid rear axle like the GT models and base models for better handling…they come with ABS, they come equipped with traction control that can be deactivated with the push of a button (big fun)…they only feature a manual transmission however (thats all i like to drive lol)

all cobra models feature the dual overhead cam 32 valve 4.6 liter (281 cid) v8 engine

the 1999 and 2001 cobras were rated at 320 rw horsepower with a 5 speed manual and the 2003 cobras were rated at 390 rw horsepower and featured a 6 speed transmission.
