Q: Where would I buy a 2003 Ford Cobra Mustang poster? or Apparel?
I am looking for my boyfriends valentines day gift. I can’t seem to find any posters anywhere. I tried many different websites but nothing. Is there a Mustang store where I could buy it?
A: We carry some posters and clothing, but nothing with the 2003 cobra specifically. You can find out apparel here:

Sweatshirts ^^^^

Jackets ^^^^
and we also carry, wall murals/posters, but again, nothing specifically with the cobra:

Hope this helps, Good luck!
Q: Which would be a better buy, a 2001 Ford Mustang Svt cobra or a 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1?
I am considering purchasing either one. Both are completely stock and have less than 30,000 miles on them. Any suggestions based on facts, opinions, benefits of either one, or any known problems with either one is appriecated.
A: both great cars, and below are websites for specs.
now the 01 cobra has a little more horsepower than the mach 1, but i would recommend the mach 1….mostly because its newer and the 03 mach 1 had perhaps a better set-up chassis wise than 01 cobra. down the road the mach 1 will likely have more value (the 01 cobra was not best of the cobra breed and really cobra name did not resurface until 2003/2004 cobra series)… and lastly the shaker hood set-up of the mach 1 series is really nice.
both run same basic engine ford modular 4.6 modified from the gt in different ways. these are solid, dependable engines. whether you get the performance bug and enhance them or keep them as is, they are one of the best blocks around.
whichever car you choose, great drive….but again i recommend mach 1….here’s a review

Q: Where can I buy an owners manual for a 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra?
I’ve checked all over, but I am unable to find one. I’m looking for one preferably still new.
A: Here’s one on EBay – 5 days left to bid
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1995-MUSTANG-FORD-OWNERS-MANUAL-WITH-WARRANTY-CARD_W0QQitemZ370023930292QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item370023930292
If the link doesn’t work, go to EBay, do a search on ‘1995 Mustang Owners Manual”. It’ll be on the 2nd page of hits.
Good Luck
Q: Ford Mustang Cobra 2 Drag Race?
Hey me and my friend are looking to buy a Ford Mustang 1975 Cobra 2 in order to upgrade and use it as a muscle car in quarter mile.
Does anyone have one of these they are willing to sell in England and if not does anyone have any idea on how to increase it’s performance.
e.g. Parts, Websites selling Parts etc…
Ty
A: Im not in England.
But why a 75. I can see if your gonna do a whole engine swap and start from the ground up. if you plan on using the stock engine, i wouldn’t bother it was a bad decade for the mustang during that time as new emission laws were put into affect and power output has dropped because of.
Q: Is this to much for a 2003 ford mustang cobra?
I am wanting to buy this cobra but its asking for $18500 for 84K miles on it.
I went to kbb.com and it was saying for $14000.
U think im gettin rip off or no?
A: 84000 is high as most cobras are not run in the wet or winter.
i have no idea of condition or whether it is stock (which is sometimes better than upgraded supercharger).
1)the 03 / 04 cobras are among the most exciting/powerful mustangs built
2)you should understand them fully and their stengths/weaknesses before you buy
3)the 03 in particular was subject to a head tic problem and several other recalls, you must determine they were corrected before purchasing
4)there are 03/04 cobra imitators and you must insure you do a VIN ck to the mustang decoder.
really recommend you get on
http://www.svtperformance.com/
its an owners forum (free registration) and they have 1 group dedicated to the 03/04 terminator series.
they also have a full fact sheet on what you should know before you purchase.
its a great car, but the mileage you are looking at is high….and you have to understand because of the nature of these cars-they have been beat on, ran fast and ran hard and depending on the owner subjected to supercharger overuse.
look for examples like this
http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/1003763356.html
for example my 04 cobra is running less than 20,000 miles.

Q: 1976 or 1977 ford mustang cobra 2, black with gold stripe, restoration?
im looking to buy a cobra 2 and it doesnt run and needs body work and interior work and they are asking $1,500 for it is that a good price? and where do i find parts for it? i cant seem to find parts anywhere for the cobra 2???? please helpppp! thanksss for your help.
A: There aren’t many reproduction parts made for them, so you have to hunt places like eBay and Hemmings. Mechanical parts are still fairly easy to get..
Here is a good group to join for help with your project..

Q: How much would it cost to get a 2001 ford mustang cobra engine rebuilt?
I am thinking of buying a 99-01 cobra and ive found some but they have over 120,000 miles but are only $8,000 and wondered if it would be under 6-7Gs to get the engine rebuilt after another 10k milles
A: You could do it yourself for 2K or so, or have a shop do it for under 5K. If you are going to do have it rebuilt, you might as well go 5.1L stroker. It will cost a little bit more, but the performance gains will be great. A 5.1L stroker will probably give you a solid 50hp boost.
Q: 2003-2004 Ford Mustang Cobra….need some info!?
I am a mustang fan. I own a 2003 Ford Mustang GT and a 1997 Cobra, but I really can’t find if there are ANY differances between the 03 and 04 cobra models. Looking to buy one in the next 2 weeks. Anyone help me?
A: there are no difference expept for colors and early 03’s didn’t come with chrome wheels and early 03’s had a recall on one of the cylinder head do to a ticking issue. Otherwise there are no difference…..very nice car my father has one
Q: buying used Mustang Cobra, help?
I am buying a 1997 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra Coupe with the engine from a 04 Cobra. What problams should i look for when i inspect the car? are there any problams that are commen with this car? thancks for your help.
A: quite a few mustangs have swapped in the cobra (terminator) engine, because it is so very strong and likely one of the best engines ford has produced in terms of quality of internal components, and overall performance.
this can be an excellent purchase, and because the engines stand up to a lot of hard driving they are quite dependable.
as answerer Vipassan said have a pro shop ck it out…..
do a full ck including compression test.
basic questions:
-engine swap accompanied by swap of the t-56 6 sp transmission? and was the transmission upgraded to stronger spline??
-what clutch is the car running
-is it running stock supercharger, or has it been replaced and with what??
-what other installations have been done on this car to manage the power from the cobra engine??
-has the car had a custom tune of the engine (if so talk to that shop)
lastly MAKE SURE to see build identification to confirm it is a cobra engine! (lots of clones out there).
this can be a 1st rate car, if all cks out.
when you have time get on http://www.svtperformance.com/
its an owners forum for performance mustangs, register and then get onto the forum for 03/04 terminators (and look for “terminator talk”)
there is very extensive FAQ available there that will basically answer every question you might have about the terminator engine.
any other questions….the guys at svt will quickly help you out……

Q: Used Ford Mustang GT500 Cobra 2007, Thinking of buying, what should the Price be?
I tried to use Blue book and it said they could not get a price on one of them. Ford dealer wants $40,299. That still very close to the price for a new one is. It was like new really, but its way over price me and my dad and even the sales thought. What do you think the price should be?
10,000 on it
A: I would deffinately not pay more then $36,000. I can find a bunch from private sellers that have half the milage and they are asking between $35,000 and $38,000. If I were you, I would take a look at private sellers. Since you will be buying a car that has so few miles on it and you buy from an adult you know the car wont be abused and the factory warranty will still be present. Not only will you find a car for a lot less but on top of that you will save thousands because you wont have to pay sales tax. You are probally looking at saving at least $5,000 by going with a private seller.
Q: Ford Mustang, What would be better? Cobra, Saleen or Roush?
I am looking to buy a mustang. I Love the Cobra’s look, and the Horsepower is ridculous. I wouldnt mind buying a GT and adding Saleen or Roush parts onto it either. If anyone knows which would have th best performance horsepower wise and speed wise, let me know. Thank You.
A: First of all, Jeremy Clarkson (of “Top Gear” fame) doesn’t know JACK about Mustangs. I’ve seen the episode with the Roush Mustang and he CLAIMS that the Roush has an independent rear suspension. This is 100% false. That Roush has a solid axle suspension, just like every other S197 Mustang, whether it’s a V6 or a GT500. Does it have upgraded springs and dampers? Sure… but it doesn’t have a “modern suspension unlike the other Mustangs” and it does NOT have an independent rear suspension like Jeremy Clarkson claims.
Now, to the original question:
This question is quite difficult to answer given all the variables of money, looks, straight-line vs. handling speed, etc…
The quick answer is, the ‘03-’04 Cobra is the best bang-for-the-buck. At the time the ‘03-’04 Cobra was making ~370whp (~425hp), non-supercharged Roushes and Saleens, which were essentially just 260hp Mustang GT’s with body-kits and a few suspension parts cost just as much. Then, if you moved up to a Supercharged Stage 3 Roush or Saleen S-281SC, you STILL made less power than a stock ‘03-’04 Cobra, and the car cost MUCH more than the Cobra. Of course, you could spend ~$70k on a Saleen Extreme and be faster, but for double the money.
Now, the same is essentially true with the new ‘05+ cars. The best bang-for-the-buck straight line speed is still the GT500 from Ford. To buy a Roush or Saleen that is actually faster would cost significantly more money, and the car would be significantly inferior as far as engine potential goes. The GT500 has a robust 5.4L DOHC engine, whereas most of the Roushes and Saleens simply supercharge the 3V 4.6L engine.
If you want bang-for-the-buck, I’d just go with the Cobra/GT500, depending on what bodystyle you would like… and if you really want it to look like a Roush or Saleen, just put the body peices on the Cobra/Shelby.
Good luck
Q: What is a reasonable price to sale my Ford SVT Cobra Mustang?
2001 black, convertible, excellent condition except a few small chips on the hood from the previous owner, cold air intake from K and N. Ford MACH 5 sound system. Everthing else is all stock. 73K miles.
I went throught the whole car and change out all of the fluids because they seemed to be a little old. I went and did the full tune up, change all the filters through out. I intended on keeping this car but now we have a baby on the way and is now pointless for my wife to even try to get in it.
Long story short, I bought it from a dealership, paid too much, tried to treat it like a baby and now it’s time to sale. Help me find a price to sale in Southern California.
A: First question, do you owe on it? If so, than that is your bottom selling point (unless your upside down). I know its going to seem dissapointing, but KBB says its worth about 14,800. I used the good price because I’ve yet to see a car with 73k that in my eyes was excellent. I baby my cars too, but 73k of driving will put some wear on the exterior of any well maintained vehicle especially a vert. I used San Diego as the city, so who knows. The problem with your car (not that its really a problem) is that it looks like a “Terminator” but isn’t supercharged. I’d put it at 17 and see if you get any bites. The 03-04’s are fetching 25k so maybe you’ll find someone who wants the look but not the extra sticker price.

Q: what else should i put on my 1996 mustang cobra?
well i got a 1996 ford mustang cobra so far i have put k&n intake, ford racing headers, american thunder flowmaster exaust, ford racing lowering springs and ,a zoom cluch. Most of this are just bolt on so i wanted to now what else i should put on it and where i can get it.some specs on its is it has a 4.6 engine and maunual transmission.in a month i am buy ford racing 18in 9with rims wat rubber should i get for it
A: Personally, I would put on a fiberglass hood (save weight) with racing pins. Are you going to drag race this? If so, I would go for a racing seat with five point seat belts. Maybe a spoiler (not a big pigeon killer, but one that sits flush on the deck to increase airflow). Also, I would put a lowering kit on the front as well as a ground effects kit on the front (though I would hate to mess with the face of a Cobra) to increase airflow around the vehicle. Also, go Goodyear (Drag Radial Eagles).
If it’s just for street I would re-paint it something bold, tint the windows darker than legal, put in GPS and maybe an underbody kit (behind the grill as well). I would go with the new Goodyear Eagle ResponsEdge for complete traction and less road noise (unless you live somewhere without snow or use these for spring/summer – Eagle F1 Gs D3).
I don’t have prices for those tires in the 18 inch, only the 17 inch stocks.
