Q: I have a 2001 ford mustang svt cobra and was wondering if it is worth holding on to?
just wondering if a 2001 svt cobra will be worth a good amount of money in the future. like, i know it won’t be a lot, but more than its original price of $30,000. its got 380 horses with all the modifications.
A: If it had not been modified it would be worth more!
Yes, it is worth holding on too, however it will take some time to realize a profit. So enjoy it now and don’t worry about getting your money out of it. It would be a shame to not have fun while you can!
Q: can the ford mustang mach1 engine be replaced by a ford mustang svt cobra 4.6 liter supercharged engine?
guys i saw a mach1 today and the engine sounded good and i was wondering if the mach1 engine could be swapped out for the 4.6 liter v8 supercharged engine of the mustang cobra?
A: the new one yes, the old one no….
Q: Which would be a better buy, a 2001 Ford Mustang Svt cobra or a 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1?
I am considering purchasing either one. Both are completely stock and have less than 30,000 miles on them. Any suggestions based on facts, opinions, benefits of either one, or any known problems with either one is appriecated.
A: both great cars, and below are websites for specs.
now the 01 cobra has a little more horsepower than the mach 1, but i would recommend the mach 1….mostly because its newer and the 03 mach 1 had perhaps a better set-up chassis wise than 01 cobra. down the road the mach 1 will likely have more value (the 01 cobra was not best of the cobra breed and really cobra name did not resurface until 2003/2004 cobra series)… and lastly the shaker hood set-up of the mach 1 series is really nice.
both run same basic engine ford modular 4.6 modified from the gt in different ways. these are solid, dependable engines. whether you get the performance bug and enhance them or keep them as is, they are one of the best blocks around.
whichever car you choose, great drive….but again i recommend mach 1….here’s a review

Q: 1995 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra Engine Question?
I have a 1995 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra with a Windsor 302 5.0L (4.9L) and am in the process of rebuilding. I intended on buying a new set of cylinder heads and was wondering if anybody might be able to help me with some engine sepcifications specific to my make and model I am going to need to know when buying cylinder heads (combustion chamber volume, lift measurements, …? ) and so on…please and thank you so much
A: Why go back stock go for the gusto!! UPGRADE Are you doing it yourself of someone else? I have like Holley and Edlebrock.
Q: What is a reasonable price to sale my Ford SVT Cobra Mustang?
2001 black, convertible, excellent condition except a few small chips on the hood from the previous owner, cold air intake from K and N. Ford MACH 5 sound system. Everthing else is all stock. 73K miles.
I went throught the whole car and change out all of the fluids because they seemed to be a little old. I went and did the full tune up, change all the filters through out. I intended on keeping this car but now we have a baby on the way and is now pointless for my wife to even try to get in it.
Long story short, I bought it from a dealership, paid too much, tried to treat it like a baby and now it’s time to sale. Help me find a price to sale in Southern California.
A: First question, do you owe on it? If so, than that is your bottom selling point (unless your upside down). I know its going to seem dissapointing, but KBB says its worth about 14,800. I used the good price because I’ve yet to see a car with 73k that in my eyes was excellent. I baby my cars too, but 73k of driving will put some wear on the exterior of any well maintained vehicle especially a vert. I used San Diego as the city, so who knows. The problem with your car (not that its really a problem) is that it looks like a “Terminator” but isn’t supercharged. I’d put it at 17 and see if you get any bites. The 03-04’s are fetching 25k so maybe you’ll find someone who wants the look but not the extra sticker price.
Q: 1995 Ford SVT Cobra Mustang cylinder head problems?
I am in the process of rebuilding my 1995 cobra and ran into a bit of a issue when I discovered that my warped heads are going to be somewhere around $1300 to replace. I was wondering if anybody may be able to direct me into what heads will fit my 1995 Ford SVT Cobra Mustang 5.0 L 302 Windsor? I am aware that GT40 heads might fit?
A: GT40’s should fit, but stay away from the GT40-P heads. these have a different spark plug location that can cause trouble in certain setups, especially with headers.
I would buy a set of Ford Performance Parts GT40-X aluminum heads and put on it. They’ll cost less than your $1300 replacement heads, and you’ll get more power out of them. Just remember to add a set of headers.
Q: 2000 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R?
ok guys if you’ve seen my later posts i love cars and i take pride in building new ones, i just ordered and received a 2000 Ford Mustang Cobra R for 53,000 it came bone stock nothing to it, just for humor we all know they all come with the 4.6L 3V SOHC V8 well that isnt good enough i am thinking of pulling the supercharged 5.4L V8 out of my truck redoing the gears and tune and computer ecu setup and running it that way, i also have seen it is a very popular swap. my question is going to be though what aftermarket parts should i put into this? i already have a Whipple Supercharger on it thats it so far, makeing 15.0 PSI of boost i was thinking just letting ford take it over but anyone with better parts let me know thanks best answer goes to most thorough im me for pics of the car it is simply beautiful i even have pics of the swap
yes my mistake sry it is the 5.4L my god lol what parts could i put on there? best for equal power/torque ratio
A: Well have you ever thought of twin turbo charging it? I built one for a customer and it made close to 850 whp.. alot more than what a supercharged 5.4 engine would make
Q: Wanna sell my 2003 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra Convertible.Where is the best place to advertise on line?
A: Go where the guys/men are… to sell a car like that… find them locally — is my first thought. You want older men, or men with money if you want the best dollar return… if there’s a local country club, try to send/post a message there (to buy for their son/daughter, as a grad present?)… then, explore local newspapers/cost, because you get the most/best exposure (still)… national websites may/may not work shorter term and can attract all sorts of goofs/losers that really want to talk more about the Car & their thoughts about it, etc. than buy it. Ebay and autotrader (edmunds?) are options.. I’d check to see if that cable TV show (Speed) that sells the classic cars allows either free or paid classifieds… with a car of this sort of value — you can test the waters with the national, local free sites… but, spending $300-600 in ads may pay off, with more focused & closer buyers (that can see & pay for the car). Make sure you have a man or two around, whenever people show to see/pay for the car.. to avoid any unpleasantries and GL.
Q: 1995 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra Question?
I have a 1995 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra 5.0L with a 302 Windsor and in the process of rebuilding. I was researching upper and lower intake manifolds and was interested in a replica set. However, all of the replica kits that I found were for 1986-93 stangs. From what i can see the intakes and bolt patterns are very similar. I was wondering if these will bolt to my stang and if they don’t why? Or please help me find some…
Thank you!!!!!
A: yes it will bolt up, but you need to measure hood clearance,

Q: Is there a such thing as a 2003 Ford Mustang Svt Cobra with a 6 cylinder engine and a automatic transmission?
I saw this car on a ford car lot and it had around 45k miles on it. Seems like the asking price would be pretty good, but I don’t know whether it’s a regular v6 mustang modded to look like a cobra or the real thing. I’m leaning toward the assumption that it isn’t a real cobra because I can’t find anything on the net about a v6 auto-trans svt cobra.
A: No matter what year it is. the company Ford only made cobras with V8 engines. But anyone can go out and buy a cobra decal and say there car is a cobra, just like with about 2500.00 a V6 mustang coupe can look just like a Saleen. Remember everyone lies. If you believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see, you will be less disappointed
Q: what would be the price for a 2003-2004 ford mustang svt cobra?
A: depends on the miles, condition, and whether you are buying from a private party or a dealer. To give you some idea though, A 2004 with 0-20k miles $27,000-$30,000. A 2003 with 0-20k miles $22,000-$26,000. A 2004 with 50k-75k miles $21,000-$24,000. A 2003 with 50k-75k miles $18,000-$21,000.
Q: Ford Mustang SVT Cobra?

A: There are many ways
One threw Ford racing parts catalog/dealer
Two go on ebay a used engine and trany
three check out http://www.karkraft.com/

Q: 2001 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra convertible?
The automatic lights on the rear view mirror wont turn off after i lock the car. I am afraid it is going to drain all my battery… What cud b wrong ????
A: Perhaps by accident, the interior switch at the mirror was turned on. When its turned off it may go out. Otherwise, some sort of short. If you could figure out which fuse its on you could remove it to keep your battery from draining, until you get this resolved.
Q: Which car would be faster Ford Mustang Cobra SVT 2004 or Dodge Challenger R/T 2010?
If raced on a 1320 drag race, and that they both have manual transmission,
o also they are both stock…
A: “If raced on a 1320 drag race”
In other words, a completely pointless race.
What about driver reaction? Tires? Weather conditions? Driver shifting ability?
There’s a lot more to a race than just transmission type and car….
Not that a 1/4th mile proves anything anyway….
