T&F Set for C-USA Outdoor Championships

DENTON, Texas – North Texas athletics will head to San Antonio for the United States Conference Track and Field Championships Friday through Sunday at Park West Athletics Complex, hosted by UTSA.

Heading into the competition, the North Texas men’s team is ranked fifth in the USTFCCCA Conference Athletics Index, while the women’s team is ranked 10th.and. The men’s team has 10 United States Conference top-three brands, while the women’s team has nine top-eight marks.

With the NCAA West preliminary championships approaching, the Mean Greens currently have six student-athletes qualified to compete in Fayetteville.

Makayla Roy (158′ 4″, 48.27m) is ranked 29and in the women’s javelin region, Karlington Anunagba (10.22), samir williams (10.24) and davonie jones (10:30 a.m.) are ranked 18and21st and 36andrespectively, in the men’s 100 meters, while Akeel Hanchard (212′ 9″, 64.85m) and Vitus Hansgard (206′ 2″, 62.84m) are ranked 28and and 39andrespectively, in the men’s javelin.

UNT action at the C-USA Championships begins Friday with the Men’s Hammer Throw at 2:00 p.m. CT. For more championship information, including live results, visit the official Conference USA website.
